An Inheritance of Curses | Review
An Inheritance of Curses is a book that immediately drops you into the plot, which is fast paced and never lets up throughout the book. In the novel, you follow Rose, who is determined to prove herself different from the rest of her family. Too bad that Rose’s plan is befuddled by the fact that she walks into her aunt’s basement to find a chained up fae, werewolf, and vampire.
There is a lot going on in this book, and the false mate-bond that happens does seem to put everything else on the back seat, but towards the end of the book, everything comes back into focus and the book ends on a well rounded note.
The writing was straightforward and engaging, and the world building was decent, but I thought it could have been more fleshed out, especially in regards to the different houses and the background of the LeFey family.
Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
