In this Viking-inspired YA fantasy we follow Eelyn, a seventeen year old girl, into battle, and watch as she struggles with betrayal and redemption.
This book was highly engaging and took me by surprise a bit as I got immediately sucked into it and just couldn’t put it down.Overall, this was a good book and I very much enjoyed reading it. It’s very fast-paced, but I did think it was a bit trope filled and I saw the ending coming from a mile away. There is a love to hate romance in the book that I personally thought could have been fleshed out better. I liked the book, but I didn’t love it.
I received a free ARC copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
